Christmas Cookie Social

We are thrilled to produce our 2nd annual Christmas Cookie Social!

We at MDC are committed to creating a calm and friendly performance experience, especially for our littlest dancers. So, we have organized this event to achieve that successfully.   Part of that success depends on our parents. There are several things that need to happen for us to be able to focus on your children, giving them a personal, and positive experience.  We have streamlined what needs to happen, and if everyone follows the information below, we should be able to handle last minute details for you individually. Think of this way. If each family has 1 problem to solve at rehearsal, we are solving over 150 issues while rehearsing our dancers. We know there are last minute questions, or circumstances that need to be addressed, but we hope that if each family reads through and take responsibility for the information in this packet, there will be more time to create that magical experience for your little one!

Please read the details below carefully, as some items are time sensitive.

All Parents will need to fill out the Social Commitment Form at the Bottom of this page by Wednesday, November 7th.

  • These Bouquets will double as both a handheld bouquet, and a centerpiece!
  • Each bouquet will come in a red or green cup, and can be taken out to be held by hand as well.

**Bouquet flower combinations will vary, so you'll be able to select your favorite one at the show!**

 Dress Rehearsal

All dress rehearsals are mandatory. This allows dancers to get a feel for the whole BIG picture, allowing them to be their BEST when they have family and friends in the audience to watch them!

  • Bringing Your Child to Dress Rehearsal
    • Please bring your child to dress rehearsal ready to go and on time.  Your child's group will begin on time. DANCERS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DRESS AND DO HAIR AT THE STUDIO OR HIGH SCHOOL, TO KEEP CHAOS AND CROWDS TO A MINIMUM.
    • Please see below  in the Dancer Details for your child's rehearsal time, and what your child should wear to dress rehearsal.
    • Please note:  Please check your child's level, as information is specific to each class.
  • Children's Classes (Age 3-1st Grade)
    • Parents will attend a MANDATORY informational meeting about the show during your child's rehearsal time.
    • Dress Rehearsal is held at MIDWEST DANCE CENTER.

  • Performance Company Dancers
    • Performance Company dancers will rehearse from 4:30-6pm on Friday, December 14th, in addition to their class rehearsal.
    • During this dress rehearsal, we will be setting up for the show.  If you are able, please stay to help. Childcare will be available for $5.00 per child payable in cash at the rehearsal.  Dinner will be served to volunteers and their children.  If you are not staying to help, please do not stay at EAHS.  This rehearsal is held at ELKHORN AREA HIGH SCHOOL.  Sign up to help here.
